It's not possible to write a one-paragraph explanation, especially if
you are not familiar with how WebKit itself works. Perhaps you could
explain what kind of information you are after.

As for source files, the cairo-specific code is mostly in
Source/WebCore/platform/{cairo,graphics/cairo}.
