I should probably clarify that what I meant by this was a *custom* build of WebKit, e.g. to take advantage of bug fixes or new features which are not part of the OS-provided library, or to integrate additional features added by the application developer. I am of course aware it's very easy to use the APIs on iOS and Android for the version supplied with the OS :)
