Hi webkit-dev,

We’d like to give you a quick update on Android’s progress since
Andrei’s announcement[1] last week.

Firstly, following a series of patches by Steve Block and Adam Barth,
all of the old Android port has been removed from the WebKit tree. In
total, 46 files have been removed, and many more have had code removed
from them.

Furthermore, we’ve added a builder to WebKit’s Console and Waterfall
to ensure that all upstreamed code will continue to work. This
especially is important as we’re now going to start adding new code
supporting WebKit’s Chromium port for the Android OS.

We’d like to ask you to bear with some redness while we work out
external dependencies, but please be assured that we’re working to
have it run layout tests as soon as possible.

If you’re interested in keeping track of our progress, a meta bug is
available as well:

Thanks,
Peter, Steve and Adam
