Toby, Many thanks for the advice. Worked like a charm. I then had to comment out the lines in the run-safari script that checked to see if the frameworks are there (for some reason, it kept looking erroneously in the Deployment folder) to get it to work, but now it's all ok, and Safari is blisteringly fast. How do I get this -lxml2-WebCore file that it's looking for?
This error occurs because you've got a space in your build path. This should actually be fixed; run WebKitTools/Scripts/update- webkit and try again.
If it still doesn't work, rename your build directory.
