It's just not identical to either the BSD or LGPL license, which is what the WebKit Committers Guidelines say are allowed without written clearance from Apple. (I don't know how close the text of the terms have to be to be considered "BSD-style".) As for contacting the license owner(s), I'm not sure what I would ask them -- whether they can also license it under BSD? The Guidelines only say to contact the author if the source file has no licensing terms attached to it. --Chris
