WebKit on Windows: transferring Spinneret

Anyone tried moving the Spinneret executable to a different machine than the one it was developed on? The 2nd machine has visual studio and all the windows libraries installed, and I have copied the entire WebKitBuild directory over in an attempt to get this working, but the executable just crashes every time. Thoughts? thanks...

Feature Requests

I would like to see options in the preferences of Safari, NetNewsWire and other WebKit apps for the following: • Defining your own Accept* HTTP headers. Please just give me a set of text fields so I can write my own headers! Especially Accept- Language, that's the most important—my system language is set to British English, yet Safari sends out requests with "en-us". :-/ • Ability to set 1pt to 1/72 inches, and read the screen DPI for digital devices. Unless the screen can report it's own DPI, whis will probably require a large lookup table with Apple and other manufacturers' displays enumerated. (FontBook has something similar for converting copyright strings into publishers' names). This would be a preference in the apps that use WebKit, and you can default to off if you want, but I need the sanity of a HTML client that will display a 10cm line at 10cm on screen, in print, in braille, on a TV, on a phone, wherever. Is there anyone else that would welcome these abilities? - Nicholas.

Hi all I attempted to take into account the differences in flex between linux and OSX with this patch. But it seems that OSX uses flex version 2.5.4 and for OSX these constants are not defined any suggestions welcome. astyle for webkit

I came up with some astyle flags that seem close to the webkit requirments. Linux port

The code and patches for the linux compile are now attached to bug 8515 http://bugzilla.opendarwin.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8515 Web pages can be opened from the sample driver program and links can be navigated by double clicking. No input or form components are supported yet. Other current bugs is select is not working nor is focus scrolling as a short list of issues. Mike

Javascript not executed (rev 14621, S60 SDK)

Hello, I have compiled revision 14621 successfully on a Windows machine. Layout tests are all OK (920 success, 0 failure). I use the S60 SDK emulator to test the browser. It seams that javascript is not executed. I have tried some very simple pages that executes some javascript on the onload. No javascript seems to be executed. I have checked the "settings", seen that javascript was "enabled", tried to disable and reenable. Same behaviour. I have also tried one of the layout test, called "onload-re-entry.html". The result is a white page. Any ideas ? Thanks, Ronan

Compiliation probelms on Windows

Hi! When I try to compile WebKit on Windows, I get hundreds of these errors: fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'unicode/pwin32.h': No such file or directory c:\cygwin\webkit\webcore\unicode\unicode\umachine.h 45 I get hundreds of errors relation to the unicode directory. Can someone help me? -- Matt

NetscapeMoviePlugin Sample Broken?

Hi, Has anyone tried the NetscapeMoviePlugin sample (from /Developer/ Examples/WebKit) lately? It builds for me with a few warnings, but when it's installed both Camino and Firefox crash upon loading the test page. Safari doesn't crash, but the plugin doesn't seem to work (the page looks and functions exactly as it does when the plugin is not installed). I tried it on my my MBP and my G5 with the same results. I'm curious as to whether it's broken for everyone or just me. Both of the boxes I tried it on are running 10.4.6 and Xcode 2.3. Thanks. wp BTW, Anyone know of another Netscape-compatible webkit plugin sample?
